Peter Dolby – Managing Director
Peter started life as a local government quantity surveyor before launching the authorities local energy advice centre in 1996. After a very successful spell as the authorities Energy Manager Peter left to manage the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Energy Advice Centre (EEAC) before being lured to work for a private energy consultant. Peter has helped deliver carbon reduction solutions for the public and private sector and has built a strong working relationship within the energy industry that continues to flourish to this present day.

Mark Hooton – Development Director
Mark has a wealth of public sector carbon reduction and energy efficiency experience stretching back over 14 years. In this time Mark delivered HECAction at Leicester CC and took the lead in setting up home energy services at Wellingborough and Derby City Councils. More recently, Mark currently heads up domestic carbon policy and projects at Wakefield Council. Responsible for Company Development at AoC, Mark is highly skilled in the practical delivery of carbon reduction projects and the exploitation of emerging markets.

Sarah Dawson – National Sales Director
Sarah has worked in the field of energy efficiency for the past 12 years predominantly in sales. Sarah has spent the majority of this time working closely with housing associations and local authorities on their energy improvements projects. Sarah is experienced in dealing with the funding through utility funders and works with contractors on the ground to complete the required improvements measures.

We all need to do our bit and Act on Carbon is no different. Unlike our competition, we strive to stay as carbon neutral as possible, although this isn’t easy for a developing company.
Careful consideration takes place when purchasing office equipment – checking out their green credentials by ensuring it is sourced from sustainable sources.
All journeys undertaken are carefully planned and where practicable public transport is utilised. To demonstrate our ‘green finger’ credentials, the office has its own vegetable patch where an assortment of vegetables and fruit are grown.
